The General Auditor of the Nation Miguel Ángel Pichetto ratified his intentions to present himself as a presidential candidate within Together for Change (JxC) and received a nod from former President Mauricio Macriwho highlighted the “commitment and responsibility” of the leader.
“I ratify my will to participate in the PASO. I want to be President because I know that we have destiny as a country. A great Argentina is possible,” Pichetto said last night before the regional referents of his party, Federal Republican Meeting (ERF), within the framework of the meeting of the federal table, which was held at the headquarters of the gastronomy union in the Constitución neighborhood.
Pichetto proposed that the Armed Forces watch out against separatist attempts by “pseudo Mapuche” organizations
“Our party has the legality and possibility of presenting itself in the presidential elections, that is why I want you to accompany me to discuss our country vision”, expressed Pichetto in his speech.
Macri’s support
Shortly after Miguel Ángel Pichetto confirmed his candidacy, former President Mauricio Macri gave him his support through his Twitter account: “I value Miguel Ángel’s commitment and the responsibility that he always showed to defend his ideas. I know that he dreams of an Argentina connected to the world to create real opportunities.”
In his message last night, Pichetto considered: “We need to achieve a society linked to production and work, a country that implements an energy policy to export gas and oil. We have to give certainty so that investments come and free Argentina from all kinds of traps”.

The brand new candidate also proposed “forming a federal agency made up of the best cadres of the various security forces to combat drug trafficking that it is a federal crime” and assured that he will promote “the elimination of drug dealing with the jurisdiction of the provincial police”.
Within this framework, he called to “strengthen the Armed Forces” so that they “take care of the border and watch out for threats that threaten sovereignty, such as the separatist attempts of some pseudo-Mapuche organizations.”

Finally, he affirmed that the State companies generated in 2022 “a deficit of 5 billion dollars” for which he considered it necessary “to have a principle of efficiency and economic order.”
“Businesses have to achieve self-sufficiency and not ask the State. We need those 5 billion dollars to give credits to SMEs for production, ”he asserted.
Pichetto’s Table
During the meeting in which Miguel Ángel Picheto confirmed that he will participate in the PASO of Together for Change, the presentation of regional references from the federal board of ERF.
It was constituted by the former president Ramón Puerta (Northeast), Senator Juan Carlos Romero (Northwest), former Secretary of Intelligence Miguel Ángel Toma (City of Buenos Aires) and by the provincial deputy and candidate for governor Betina Inés Florito (Santa Fe).

The activity was also attended by former legislator Jorge Pirra and the executive director of the Federal Meeting Foundation, Eduardo Mondino, as reported in a statement.
