The Public Ministry obtained seven months of preventive detention against Ronald PS (31), investigated for the alleged crime of extortion to the detriment of a businesswoman farmer from the district of Pichanaqui, in the Central Jungle.

According to the investigation of the Second Office of the Mixed Corporate Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Pichanaqui, the accused had sent threatening messages via WhatsApp demanding sums of 40 thousand, 5 thousand and 2 thousand soles, warning that he would threaten the life of the victim and that of his family if he did not comply with the payment.
On December 28, 2025, the victim made a deposit of 200 soles as part of the extortion, which allowed the Police to begin an operation. During the proceedings, Yeferson AC (41) was identified, who would have lent his bank account to the investigated under deception.

After the police operation, Ronald PS was arrested in flagrante delicto in the town center of Mirisharo. Provincial prosecutor Verónica Janeth Arquiñigo Ríos presented various elements of conviction, such as the police intervention report, the victim’s statement and the cyber patrol report.
With these elements, the Judiciary issued seven months of preventive detention, for which the investigated person was transferred to the La Merced Penitentiary Establishment, where he will face the corresponding criminal process.
