An alleged case of homicide shocked the residents of the Jardines del Edén Housing Association, on Av. Los Dirigentes Fundadores de Pichanaqui. Henry Manuel Berrocal Arroyo (18) was found dead inside a home. As reported by the Commissioner (e) of Pichanaqui, PNP Lieutenant Andrés Jesús Cerón Aycho.
Hilda Elvira Huasco Velásquez (50), owner of the home, reported that the young man entered her house through the back door, bleeding and asking for help. Seconds later, he collapsed and died in the hallway of the house. The Depincri Chanchamayo Specialized Unit and the Criminalistics Office (Oficri) arrived at the scene to carry out the corresponding procedures.
The case is being investigated under the supervision of the provincial prosecutor Víctor Hugo Romero Chanco, representative of the First Provincial Corporate Criminal Prosecutor’s Office of Chanchamayo. After several hours, Depincri agents found an alleged person involved in the events, who was at the hospital in contingency of Pichanaqui, where he arrived alone on a motorcycle, due to injuries he also had. He was taken to the specialized unit at the Sangani headquarters, in Perené.
Some witnesses said that the motive for the murder was due to a dispute between a woman, the partner of one of those involved. Luis YP (24), who was detained in hospital, chose to remain silent. Relatives of the victim fear that the PNP will release him and ask that justice be done.
