Coach Pia Sundhage called up the Brazilian women’s soccer team this Tuesday (1st) for two friendlies against Canada on the 11th and 15th of November, in the state of São Paulo. Among the novelties on the list is the right-back Bruninha, a former Santos player, currently at OL Reign (United States), who again has an opportunity in the team. Sundhage also called forward Debinha (North Carolina Courage-USA) and goalkeeper Lorena (Grêmio), both recovered from injury.

The games are preparatory to the Women’s World Cup, starting on July 23 next year, in Australia and New Zealand. A good part of the team called up this Tuesday (1st) remains the same that played in the last FIFA Date – Brazil’s victories against Italy (1-0) and Norway (4-1) – including Palestrinas, current Libertadores champions, Ary Borges and Bia Zaneratto.
The clash on November 11 will be at Vila Belmiro, in Santos, at 3:15 pm (Brasília time). Four days later, at the same time, Brazil duels against Canada again at Neo Química Arena, Corinthians stadium, in São Paulo.
The Brazilian team has ten consecutive victories, with 33 goals scored and only one conceded. Brazil will compete in the first phase of the 2023 Women’s World Cup in group F, along with France, Jamaica and the team that qualifies in the playoffs (China Taipei, Panama, Paraguay or Papua New Guinea).
