Several roads were flooded and vehicles were affected by flooding in Caracas
On the afternoon of this Saturday, October 5, the central area of the country experienced heavy rains. In Caracas, the Altos Mirandinos and other areas of Miranda there were flooded roads and traffic problems. No injuries or major losses were reported.
According to reports obtained through social networks, the rainfall caused flooding in areas such as Maripérez, Petare and Intercomunal Guarenas-Guatire Avenue.
There were also heavy rains in areas of Caracas such as Pinto Salinas, Propatria, El Paraíso, Bello Monte, among others. In the state of Miranda, rainfall was also recorded in different sectors such as Las Mercedes, Prados del Este and La California, which caused vehicle chaos due to flooding on the roads.
In the Las Palmas and Las Acacias sectors, in Caracas, citizen reports reported flooding in the streets that caused water to enter residential buildings.
Meteorologist Luis Vargas had reported that this weekend would be heavy rains in almost the entire country. The rains are caused by the presence of evolution clouds that will also come with some stormy activities in areas of Sucre, east of Nueva Esparta, north of Monagas, north of Anzoátegui, Guárico, Capital and Central regions, north of Cojedes, south of Yaracuy, south and north of Falcón, parts of Lara, south of Portuguesa, east of Barinas, east of Apure, central and western portion of Bolívar, north of Amazonas, Guayana Esequiba, south and north of Delta Amacuro.
