Phillip Butters He presented his official presidential formula as a pre-candidate for the General Elections of April 2026: together with him, Fernán Altuve-Febres and Karol Paredes are running as first and second vice presidents.
Altuve-Ferrán is a jurist, lawyer and historian and was a congressman of the Republic for the Fujimori Peru 2000 coalition in the period 2000-2005, standing out as a legislator of the Constitution Commission and president of the Code Reform Commission.
In 2010 he was elected Metropolitan Councilor of Lima for the right-wing Radical Change party. For her part, Paredes has a degree in education from the Cayetano Heredia University and a congresswoman elected in the period 2021-2026 for the San Martín region.
Butters’ presidential plan will compete with that of César Combina, who is the second presidential candidate and presented his formula accompanied by Julio Porras as first vice president and Ida Chacón as second vice president.
Through a video published on his social networks, Combina questioned the left and announced that, in his eventual government, he will close “useless” ministries, privatize “white elephants” and close and militarize all borders.
“Peru is tired of left-handers who destroy everything they touch,” he said.
“The right woke up: We are not going to ask permission from caviars, lefties or communists. With great humility and desire to fight the cultural battle against Marxism: I announce my pre-candidacy for the presidency with Avanza País,” he said.
