The General Directorate of Traffic and Terrestrial Transportation (DIGESETT) reported that since yesterday, August 3, it keeps its agents deployed at intervened intersections as part of the third phase of the mobility plan “RD moves”, executed by the transport cabinet, with the aim of guaranteeing the correct implementation of the new measures and attending the citizenship directly.
This phase contemplates the restriction of left turns at five strategic intersections of the great Santo Domingo, with the purpose of improving the fluidity of the traffic, reducing travel times and strengthening road safety in areas of high vehicular flow.
The Digesett agents have assumed an active role of preventive orientation, informing drivers and pedestrians on the alternate routes enabled and supervising the fulfillment of the measure, all this with an attitude of service and closeness to the population.
The intersections intervened in this phase are: Abraham Lincoln avenues with Víctor Garrido Puello street; Abraham Lincoln with Andrés Julio Aybar street; Máximo Gómez with Pedro Livio Cedeño Avenue; Winston Churchill with José Amado Soler street; and Winston Churchill with Roberto Pastoriza Avenue
These restrictions are added to those previously implemented in Lope de Vega and Tiradent avenues. Digesett reaffirms its commitment to work in a coordinated manner with the transport cabinet and other institutions involved to continue promoting a safer, more orderly and efficient urban mobility, always placing the citizen in the center of their actions.
