Santo Domingo – Pharmacy and Medicine Managers from hospitals in Greater Santo Domingo and Monte Plata continued their training and updating day during a training held in the conference room of the “Metropolitan Regional Health Service (SRSM).
The “Training workshop on the methodology for estimation and programming of medicines and supplies for general use in SRS and CEAS by 2024”, was given by the Directorate of Medicines and Supplies of the National Health Service (SNS).
“It fills me with satisfaction to know that we have excellent collaborators like you in our health centers, and in conferences like this we seek to train you even more and can continue executing the processes as the new times demand, in a more effective and efficient way, and as they establish the updated protocols of the SNS”, expressed the director of the SRSM, doctor Edisson Féliz Féliz when welcoming the participants.
“Because when we talk about cure, and why not say about prevention, there is a cornerstone that we have to take into account, and they are the people who supply, care for, protect, administer and supervise the medicines”, valued the holder of the SRSM when referring to those present.
The meeting discussed, among other topics, the improvement of programming, records, proper handling and storage of medications in various hospitals.
The activity featured presentations by representatives of the SNS Directorate of Medicines and Supplies, including engineer Adriano Mesa, graduates Ernesto Coronado, technical analyst; Nelson Mercedes, Pelagia Giménez and Heidy Berigüete.
The training, in which the participants carried out exercises with templates and other tools for better management of supplies, was coordinated by the SRSM’s Drug Supply Division, directed by Bernarda García Rivera.
