The Government of Chile has the habit of granting a series of bonds and subsidies to pensioners in the country, and in the month of July there are three outstanding benefits that they could receive. Check below the programs you can access and their requirements.
Universal Guaranteed Pension (PGU)
The PGU It is one of the most requested benefits of the Social Welfare Institute (IPS) by people over 65 who meet the requirements. These requirements include being 65 years of age or older, not being part of the richest 10% of the population, and having a period of residence in Chile of at least 20 continuous or intermittent years from the age of 20.
Another alternative is to have a period of at least four years of residence in the last five years prior to the application. In addition, the base pension must be less than $1,114,446 determined by the Reference Self-Financed Pension (PAFE) of the PGU.
Child Bonus
This benefit is aimed at women pensioners and its objective is to increase the amount of their retirement for each child born alive or adopted. The amount of bond corresponds to 10% of 18 minimum monthly income and varies depending on the date of birth of the child. If the child was born before July 1, 2009, the minimum income in force in July 2009 will be applied, while if the child was born after that date, the amount will be determined based on the minimum income in force in the month of his birth.
Golden Wedding Bonus
This bond It is an economic contribution intended for couples who have been married for a minimum of 50 years, in addition to meeting other established requirements.
