The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) reported to the Supreme Court (STF) a couple accused of raising money to maintain the operation of the coup camp set up in front of the Army Barracks in Brasilia in late 2022.
In the demonstration sent last month to the STF, the Attorney accuses Rubem Abdalla Barroso Junior and Eloisa da Costa Leite from criminal association crimes and incitement of the armed forces against constitutional powers.
According to investigations by the Federal Police, The couple set up a food tent inside the accompaniment and requested donations in cash, via pix, to buy rice, beans, meat, salad and juice.
According to the investigators, Eloisa da Costa conducted suspicious bank movements of approximately $ 1 million.
“The dynamics of the couple consisted of the collection of funds, through PIX key, linked to the bank account of Eloisa da Costa Leite, for later transfer of the values Rubem Abdalla Barroso Junior. Part of the raised amount was intended to incite the practice of undemocratic acts through the supply of food to the QGEX regulars,” PGR said.
THE complaint was sent to Minister Alexandre de Moraesrapporteur of the coup plot processes in the Supreme. There is no deadline for judgment of the complaint, which will decide whether the investigators will become defendants for the accusations.
Rubem Abdalla and Eloisa da Costa did not appoint any lawyer to defend the accusations in the Supreme Court.
