The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) handed over to the Federal Supreme Court (STF), on the night of Monday (22), its final allegations in Criminal Action No. 2,693, which judges the defendants of the so-called core 2 of the coup plot that sought to interfere with the results of the last presidential elections in order to keep former President Jair Bolsonaro in power, even after defeat at the polls.
In the document, the attorney general, Paulo Gonet, calls for the conviction of the reserve general and former executive secretary of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, Mário Fernandes; former director-general of the Federal Highway Police (PRF), Silvinei Vasques and the former special advisor to international affairs, Filipe Garcia Martins.
Gonet also asks the Supreme Court to condemn the reserve colonel and former Bolsonaro advisor, MARCELO COSTA CAMERA; the Federal Police Chief (PF) and former executive secretary of the Federal District Public Security Secretariat, FERNANDO DE SOUSA OLIVEIRAand the former director of intelligence of the Ministry of Justice, MARÍLIA FERREIRA DE ALENCAR.
In the final allegations, the Attorney General claims to have sufficient evidence to condemn the six defendants for the crimes of:
- Armed criminal organization;
- attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law;
- attempted coup d’état;
- Damage qualified by violence and serious threat, against the union’s assets, with considerable damage to the victim; and
- deterioration of listed assets.
Gonet also asked to fix a fine for repairing the damage.
In the document sent to the Supreme Court, the attorney general maintains that the actions practiced by the “criminal organization” are documented in conversations by messaging applications, as well as records in electronic files.
According to him, The evidence demonstrates that the defendants coordinated the monitoring and neutralization actions of public authoritiesthey prepared the decree project that would implement exceptional measures in the country and opened to make it difficult for voters from the Northeast to voting places during the first round of the 2022 elections.
Still according to Gonet, The defendants of core 2 not only monitored authorities of the Republic, but elaborated a plan to kill then -president, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, his deputy Geraldo Alckmin, and STF Minister Alexandre de Moraes.
