The Planning Commission of the Chamber of Deputieswhich this Wednesday was to begin the treatment of draft Law 003/2024-2025 of the General State Budget (PGE) 2025, declared intermission quarter until 8:00 on Friday, so that the Minister of Economy, Marcelo Montenegro, can attend, reported the state news agency ABI.
The inaugural session of the 2024-2025 Legislature of the commission was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, and its agenda included the treatment of the PGE 2025, sent by the Executive Body at the end of October.
To deal with the rule, the legislators asked the president of the Commission, Congressman Andrés Flores, that Minister Montenegro attend and not the vice ministers and directors, who were in the session on this day.
The deputy of the opposition Citizen Community (CC) José Luis Porcel told Panamericana radio that the minister informed the Commission that will be on Friday, from 8:00 in the morningto explain the PGE 2025 project.

The total budget aggregate reaches Bs 369,341 millionwhile the consolidated budget totals Bs 296,566 million; That is, they increase by 8.5% and 11.7%, respectively, compared to the PGE 2024.
For the fuel subsidyinputs and additives, the PGE 2025 assigns the sum of Bs 15,156 millionand for the food subsidy a total of Bs 750 million (wheat, Bs 383 million; corn Bs 268 million and rice, Bs 99 million).
