The Ministry of Health reported that Pfizer will anticipate another batch of 1.8 million pediatric vaccines against Covid-19. According to the folder, the doses scheduled for delivery on February 3 were brought forward to January 31.
The batch of specific immunizer for the public aged between 5 and 11 years will land at Viracopos Airport, in Campinas (SP). In all, Brazil has already received 4.2 million pediatric doses of this vaccine.
As for the public over 12 years old, the Ministry of Health informs that 407.4 million doses of vaccines against covid-19 were distributed, reaching “almost 92% of the population over 12 years old”, with at least the first dose. . “This is equivalent to 163.5 million people”, informs the folder.
Immunization with the second dose (or the single dose) has already reached 85% of the population, which corresponds to about 150.9 million. “More than 37.1 million have already guaranteed the booster dose, essential to complete the immunization against the disease”, adds the folder.
