The Federal Police (PF) informed Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), that they could not locate the president of the Instituto Voto Legal (IVL), Carlos Cesar Moretzsohn Rochato serve a house arrest warrant. 
Sentenced to 7 years and six months in prison for the coup plot that occurred during the government of former president Jair Bolsonaro, Carlos was one of ten targets of house arrest warrants issued this Saturday (27) by the minister.
According to the PF, the agents went to the institute president’s residential building, in São Paulo, and discovered that he no longer lives there. When contacting the lawyers, the police officers were informed that the president refused to provide the new address to the defense.
Carlos was hired by PL to carry out studies to base the action in which the party challenged the result of the first round of the 2022 elections in the Superior Electoral Court (TSE). In the action, disinformation was used to suggest fraud in electronic voting. He is free to appeal his conviction.
From now on, it will be up to Moraes to decide what measure will be taken. The minister may order the preventive detention of the president of the IVL.
