The PetroTal company, which operates the North Brittany field of Lot 95, located in the district of Puinahua (Requena-loretto), indicated that during the second quarter it registered an average production of 14,467 barrels of oil per day (bpd), which represents a record figure and is the seventh consecutive quarter of growth.
He specified that production in the second quarter reached 25,218 barrels on July 1, the date that the recently expanded CPF 2 processing plant was put to the test.
According to Luis Pantoja, general manager of PetroTal, on August 22 the company totaled more than 10 million barrels produced in just over four years of operations.
In this sense, he highlighted that social peace, through dialogue with the population and authorities, was crucial for obtaining the results of the second quarter of 2022.
On the other hand, he regretted that attacks continue to take place in the Norperuano Pipelinethe main transport route for oil in the Amazon, and called on the authorities to promote solutions that ensure social peace along this strategic infrastructure.
Block 95 Technical Table
Pantoja highlighted that the Block 95 Technical Committee -where solutions to the needs of the Puinahua district are worked on with the participation of the company, the State and communities- has made important progress, such as the approval of the proposed addendum to the Block 95 contract , which creates the fund for the development of that locality.
“We will continue to work with the State and social leaders to strictly comply with the orders established in Ministerial Resolution No. 144-2022-MinemDM, which created the table, which are aimed solely at promoting the development of Puinahua, based on dialogue and consensus“, he claimed.
Similarly, he highlighted the agreements reached with the Board of Authorities of Puinahua (JAP) and the Indigenous Association for the Development and Conservation of Lower Puinahua (AIDECOBAP) in aspects such as the solidarity contribution for the population of the district, with resources from the fund to which the company allocates 2.5% of the value of its audited production.
