The parties Conservative and of the U’in the afternoon of this Tuesday, April 18, confirmed their decision not to support the health reform proposed by the government of Gustavo Petro.
This action did not go unnoticed by the president, who, through his Twitter account, referred to this decision, assuring that it has maintained its position regarding the articles of the bill.

Earlier, the president had stated that the discussion of this reform was a “litmus test” for the coalition of the Historical Pact.

“They are the fundamental reforms that apply the government program that the people chose. The majority coalition has accepted that the basis of the common political approach in Congress is the program that the people chose and, to that extent, the coalition depends on that”, expressed the president.

In the same way, Petro added that there are important axes “without which the reform would not make sense and that is that public money is managed publicly and ceases to be the scene of robberies, hospital crises, transfers as there were in the past to paramilitaries and inefficiency in the health of Colombians”.
