The most recent survey of Figures and Concepts showed that the favorability of President Gustavo Petro has been falling. The same study, in November 2022, showed 62% approval and 31% negative image.

Seven months after beginning his term, this 2023 reports a favorability of 52% and an unfavorable image by 40%. Young people between the ages of 18 and 25 are the ones who most support Petro’s management.
For his part, Vice President Francia Márquez has 50% approval and 37% disapproval.
A key point for this perception have been the reforms that his government has proposed. People have related them to feelings of uncertainty and have even been labeled as contradictory.

In contrast, inclusion stands out, since it is said that the Government “protects vulnerable communities”, “supports the lower class” and “is a popular government”.
On the axes of his Governmentthe survey shows that only 55%, in urban areas, agree with the health reform. Along with this, only 58% approve of the energy transition. In other proposals such as Total Peace, the labor and pension reform, the support is more than 70%.
Health reform ‘brings you problems’
The respondents showed that what they least like about the reform is the possible dissolution of the EPS. For example, “not being able to choose the place or the doctor where you will be treated“, has an 86% disapproval.

Likewise, there is no support for the proposal that mayors and governors be in charge of managing the Territorial Health Funds. The only thing that presents a majority of acceptance is the focus on primary care.
