The companies in Petrópolis, in Rio de Janeiro, gained three more months to deliver to the Federal Revenue Service declarations of ancillary obligations scheduled for February and March, informed the Tax Authorities. The measure is part of a package of measures to support citizens affected by last week’s flood.
The measure applies to documents such as the Withholding Income Tax Return (Dirf), the Medical and Health Services Declaration (DMED), the Information Declaration on Real Estate Activities and the e-Financera declaration. The submission deadline would expire on Monday (28).
The February declarations must be delivered by the last working day of May. March statements, until the last working day of June.
This is not the first tax relief measure for taxpayers in Petrópolis. On the 18th, the Federal Revenue extended by six months the expiration dates of Simples Nacional, a special regime for micro and small companies. The bills due on February 21, March 21 and April 20 have moved to August 31, September 30 and October 31, respectively.
The tax authorities had also extended the payment dates for federal taxes, including debts in installments with the IRS, which would expire in February and March to May 31. The deadline for opening administrative proceedings against taxpayers in Petrópolis has been suspended until the end of May.
