“I hope that next week we will have the appointment of each of the members of the Board of Directors of Petroperú,” he said in statements to RPP.

It should be noted that a week ago, the Council of Ministers approved the emergency decree for the rescue of the oil company, and the regulation has already been published, so it is required that the company already has a board of directors.

However, the prime minister assured that he prefers not to reveal the names of those who would be part of this group, but he did point out that “the best professionals we can find are required” because “Petroperu is in a delicate situation.”

It was recently revealed that one of the names being considered is Alejandro Narváez, former president of the oil company who has downplayed the company’s situation.

Adrianzén is in Piura to visit the Talara Refinery and to find out the status of the project. The official arrived with the Ministers of Economy and Finance, José Arista, and Energy and Mines, Rómulo Mucho.

The prime minister said he wants to learn about the refinery units and said, “I like to see things in the field.”
