In the 3rd quarter of 2025, Petrobras achieved an average production of oil, natural gas liquids (LGN) and natural gas of 3.14 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (MMboed)). The volume is 7.6% above the 2nd quarter of this year and 16.9% above the 3rd quarter of 2024.
“The increase in production is mainly due to the higher production (project capacity) of the Floating Oil and Gas Production, Storage and Transfer Unit (FPSO) Almirante Tamandaré, in the Búzios field, and the increase in production capacity of the FPSO Marechal Duque de Caxias, in the Mero field”, informed the state-owned company.
Furthermore, according to Petrobras, there was a gradual increase in production at FPSOs Maria Quitéria, in the Jubarte field; Anita Garibaldi and Anna Nery, in the Marlim and Voador fields; and Alexandre de Gusmão, in the Mero field.
The reduction in losses due to stoppages and maintenance and greater operational efficiency in the Campos and Santos Basins also contributed to the increase in production. According to Petrobras, the “efficiency realized in the first 9 months of the year, in relation to 2024, was around 3% higher, including an increase in fields with very significant production, such as Tupi and Búzios”.
“This quarter, 11 new producing wells came into operation, seven in the Campos Basin and four in the Santos Basin,” highlighted the company.
