The general meeting of shareholders of Petrobras confirmed this evening (13) the name of José Mauro Ferreira Coelho for the Board of Directors of the state-owned company.
With the appointment to the position, the Board of Directors appreciates on Thursday morning (14) the name of Coelho for the presidency of the state-owned company. If elected by the board, José Mauro Coelho takes over the presidency of Petrobras, this Thursday afternoon, at the company’s headquarters, in downtown Rio.
The assembly still analyzes other topics and the assembly should only end at the end of the night.
José Mauro Coelho was Secretary of Oil, Natural Gas and Biofuels at the Ministry of Mines and Energy and his name was appointed by the President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, to replace General Joaquim Silva e Luna.
