The well built is part of the Marlim Field revitalization project, which has been in production for more than 30 years in the Campos Basin, with an accumulated 3 billion barrels of oil equivalent since 1991. The well is located 150 kilometers from distance from the coast and 850 meters below the water depth.

According to the state-owned company, the recovery program for the Marlim and Voador fields is the largest recovery program for a mature asset underway in the industry. offshore world.

“The project provides for the interconnection of 75 wells and the installation, in 2023, of two FPSO-type platforms (floating oil production, storage and transfer system), with the capacity to produce, together, 150,000 barrels of oil per day ( bpd)”, detailed Petrobras.
