The data is one of the highlights of the Production and Sales Report for the 2nd Quarter of 2022, released this Thursday (21) by the company.Petrobras announces that it has reached 97% utilization in its refineries

“This FUT was achieved after the completion of scheduled maintenance shutdowns at the Henrique Lage Refinery (REVAP), in São José dos Campos (SP) and at the Duque de Caxias Refinery (REDUC), in Rio de Janeiro. This performance allowed higher yields of diesel, gasoline and QAV [querosene de aviação] in the quarter, taking advantage of favorable market conditions, respecting the safety, environmental and quality requirements of the derivatives produced and considering the focus on value generation”, specified the company.

According to Peterobras, the volume of sales of oil products in the second quarter increased by 1% compared to the first quarter and the volume of fuel production was 2.6% higher compared to the same period last year.

“S-10 diesel production in 2Q22 was at the same level as in 1Q22, with a 55% share of total diesel production. In comparison with the first half of 2021, the yield was higher by six percentage points, reflecting the strategic orientation to increase the share of cleaner products in Petrobras’ production profile,” said the state-owned company.

The pre-salt oil fields accounted for 73% of all Petrobras production during the 2nd quarter of 2022. From them, 1.94 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed) were extracted between April and June.
