Petrobras announces that it will reduce, from this Friday (18), by R $ 0.12 per liter, the sales prices of diesel A (still without biodiesel) in refineries. According to the state -owned company, “the price will become, on average, $ 3.43 per liter.”
The final value of diesel depends on other factors beyond the product, such as the incidence of taxes (variable by state) and the percentage of profit from distributors such as BR, Ipiranga, Ale, and Raízen (Shell and Cosan).
The discount of R $ 0.12 is also not in line, because the final product on the bomb brings the mixture of 86% diesel A with 14% biodiesel for the composition of the so -called diesel B, as established by the National Council of Energy Policy (CNPE). The determined mixture since 2023 makes the fuel less polluting.

Thus, Petrobras states that a portion of the company in consumer price will become $ 2.95 per liter, a reduction of $ 0.10 with each liter of diesel B.
Also according to the state, since December 2022 diesel prices for distributors reduced by $ 1.06 per liter, a discount of 23.6%.
“Considering the inflation of the period, this reduction is R $ 1.59/ liter or 31.7%”, details the company. The last reduction occurred on March 31.
