This Monday, minutes after the National Administrative Department of Statistics (Dane) revealed the inflation figures for the month of August, President Gustavo Petro announced that he will summon the authorities of the energy sector to evaluate why there is a rise in energy prices if the reservoirs are full.

(Inflation in Colombia reached 10.84% in its annual variation in August).

According to the Dane report, the energy services sector was one of the sectors with the greatest upward variation in August.
