Petro tax reform would be filed this Monday, August 8

The Minister of the Interior of the Petro government, Alfonso Prada, assured that the tax reform would be presented on Monday, August 8. According to Prada, after attending the presidential inauguration, it is expected to start working “tonight” on the document.

(Is Petro’s tax reform similar to that of Duque and Carrasquilla?).

In dialogue with EL TIEMPO, the interior minister also announced that there will be a “council of ministers” finished this Monday afternoon, to advance the “very large package of projects” that the cabinet has.

In fact, for the initiatives in his portfolio, such as “political reform, the creation of ministries and the electoral code itself that returns to Congress”, he already has a presentation ready.

(Petro appoints two new ministers in Mining and Labor portfolios).

Prada claimed that Every day it will be about advancing the legislative agenda. “Those that are ready tomorrow (Monday) like the tax reform.”

And he added that: “It is not about running but about doing it well, because as it is the first day I think it is still time to articulate, adjust, each one of us surely arrives with his package quite advanced”.
