Petro demands that the new Ministry of Education achieve free education and coverage in the sector

In the framework of the inauguration of the new Minister of Education, Daniel Rojas Medellín, President Gustavo Petro gave clear instructions to the head of the portfolio on the progress in free education and coverage of the sector in the country.

On the other hand, he asked the new minister Rojas to “guarantee that there is a leap in the quality and quantity of public education in Colombia.” Adding in the form of a question, “why public education? Because it is what two thirds of Colombian youth and children receive.”

Finally, the president stressed that this means that for the first time there will be a budget invested in public university campuses.
