Petro considers Monómeros a bankrupt company

The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, considers that the agribusiness company with a majority shareholding of the Venezuelan State and that operates in Colombia, Monómeros, is currently bankrupt.

In an interview with the RCN network in Colombia, he said that Monómero “is a complex issue, because it is an almost bankrupt company. It is necessary to see technically how it can be restarted, it is necessary to see the legal forms, it is necessary to see the system of sanctions that is still in force. Let’s just say that’s not that easy.”

The company, after the breakdown of the government of Iván Duque, was robbed and confiscated and handed over to Juan Guaidó.
