The scuffle between the governments of the United States and Colombia does not stop. Hours after Petro called his ambassador in that country for consultations, the Colombian head of state said that “The FTA is suspended de facto by unilateral decision of the US government”.

According to Petro, at impose 10% tariffs, The United States violates the free trade agreement and the old tariff preferences become void, “that made Colombia under US control.”.
