Petro appoints two new ministers in Mining and Labor portfolios

Gustav Petro, President-elect of Colombia, appointed two new women, within his ministerial cabinet, in portfolios related to the economy: Work and Mines and Energy.

On the one hand, in the Ministry of Labor, Petro appointed Gloria Ines Ramirez, whom he described as “a defender of human rights and the demands of workers”.

She has been a woman who has fought for women’s rights and gender equity“, he added.
