According to Aviacionline, the flights will be carried out in ERJ-145 aircraft with a capacity for 50 passengers, which began to operate the route from November 2022, when the first flight was made after the reestablishment of air operations between the two countries.
In November, the body of aeronautics of Colombia he hoped that INAC would give Satena permission to start operations to Venezuela.
Francisco Ospina, general director in charge of Aeronáutica Colombia, said then that they were waiting for the start of operations Bogotá – Caracas and Caracas – Bogotá through the operators Satena and Turpial Airlines, which is already covering the route currently.

“On behalf of our airline (Satena) we are in the process of charter flight scheduled for Monday,” Ospina said at the time.
That month, the Colombian ambassador in Venezuela, Armando Benedetti, assured that the Satena airline was prepared to start operations between the city of Barranquilla and Caracas, a route that has not yet been confirmed by the airline.
Satena is a Colombian state company founded in 1962 and occupies a relevant position in the national and regional air service of the neighboring country, but it does not operate international routes, so Venezuela will be its first experience in this type of destination.
