Monterrey, NL. Among the municipalities with the highest integrated daily salary in Nuevo León, Ciénega de Flores and Pesquería are the ones that led the highest salary increase in the state, with annual increases of 12.7% and 12.4%, indicates an analysis by Coparmex Nuevo León, with data of the Mexican Social Security Institute.
Those municipalities employ 47,417 and 24,669 workers, respectively. And last December they reached an integrated salary of 624.62 and 583.11 pesos per day.
Other municipalities that registered the highest annual salary increases last December were: El Carmen (12.3%), San Nicolás de los Garza (11.8%) and Santa Catarina (11.9%).
Nuevo León concluded 2022 with an average integrated salary of 534.35 pesos per day, and it was 11.3% higher than the same period in 2021.
In absolute terms, the municipality of San Pedro Garza García is the one that registered the highest integrated daily salary, with 713.65 pesos, followed by Mina, with 669.46 pesos, and Ciénega de Flores, with 624.62 pesos of daily salary.
Cecilia Carrillo López, director of Coparmex Nuevo León, explained that in 2022 the daily salary of workers in the entity had a double-digit variation, due in large part to the high rate of inflation.
However, we have to recognize that there are other factors such as the increase in the demand for workers, the shortage of qualified labor, among others that move wages up,” he added.
Ciénega de Flores and Pesquería are also among the nine municipalities in the state with the highest generation of employment in 2022, compared to the previous year.
