The Prosecutor’s Office requested the rebellion of a young man accused of abusing his younger sister and getting her pregnant.
Prosecutor Vivian Coronel charged a 27-year-old man with sexually abusing his younger sister and required the Criminal Court of Guarantees to declare his rebellion.
The accused faces charges for the punishable acts of sexual abuse of children, sexual coercion and rape. Until now, he is a fugitive from justice.
According to the prosecutor’s brief, the attacks were systematically repeated between January 31, 2019 and January 31, 2020 in a building located in the Minga Guazú area. The assaults began when the victim was 12 years old and initially consisted of groping.
However, in September 2021, the young man took the minor to a lagoon near the house, where he sexually subdued her using physical force and coercion. As a result of the rape, the teenager – who is now 15 years old – became pregnant, according to the investigation.
The complaint about the case was filed this April 27 at the Entrance Desk of the Public Ministry of Ciudad del Este and immediately the Specialized Unit for Punishable Acts against Children and Adolescents, in charge of the prosecutor Vivian Coronel, began the investigation. It was found that the minor is pregnant between 7 to 8 months, and that she has not had any obstetric or ultrasound control.
The name of the accused and other details of the investigation are kept confidential in order to preserve the identity of the victim, as established by the Code for Children and Adolescents.
