Now, through a statement entitled “In the face of the bleeding that power currently commits in Peru”, a group of Peruvian writers and artists, residents in Peru and in the world, demand that Dina Boluarte “the immediate cessation of the killing of citizens exercising their legitimate right to exist politically and that today are manifested in different regions of our country”.
“Never before in Peru has there been a government that was inaugurated killing right and left people who object, claim or protest. To date, one month after the current government began, there are around 50 deaths and more than 600 wounded, generally from bullets, and Those responsible have not yet been prosecuted”, the statement states.

“This will allow the current Congress, reviewing its undemocratic conduct, and with a consensus directive, convene in the shortest possible time new general elections that guarantee a political change in Peru”, ends the letter.

“Some voices that come out of the violent and radical ask for my resignationstirring up the population to chaos, disorder and destruction.
