This future hospital will have an outpatient clinic, emergency room, surgical center, diagnostic imaging, pharmacy and other services. It will also have approximately 600 beds, of which 386 will be transferred to the hospitalization area, and the acquisition of more than 7,600 pieces of equipment is planned.
The Ministry of Health, through the National Health Investment Programme, will continuously monitor the progress of the projects. The United Kingdom Healthcare Alliance consortium will be responsible for the execution of the works.
After participating in the signing of the contract for the construction of the High Complexity Hospital, the regional governor, Luis Neyra León, highlighted that this historic achievement is an act of justice by the State towards the people of Piura.
“This is a dream come true for Piura and the neighboring regions. As a result of persistent and coordinated efforts with our authorities, we have managed to ensure that the people of Piura and Tumbes no longer have to travel to Lima or Chiclayo to receive treatment for complex diseases such as cancer or undergo specialized surgery,” he said.
