“In August the advance would be between 3.5% and 3.7%. Sometimes the monthly data are quite volatile,” he said at a press conference.
On the other hand, he pointed out that the stoppages called by transporters and merchants would not have a major impact on the Peruvian economy as long as they last a few days.
EMPLOYMENT
Data from the Central Reserve Bank reveal that in August, formal employment nationwide increased by 2.4%, which added 139,000 jobs compared to the same month in 2023.
According to the BCR, jobs in the private sector increased by 2.5% mainly due to greater job creation in the services, commerce and construction sectors.
