Peruvian businessmen met with the elected president of Chile, José Kast, in Lima

The Peruvian businessmenrepresented by the Chilean-Peruvian Business Council (CEChP), met with the elected president of Chile, José Antonio Kastin Lima, this Tuesday the 6th.

The event took place at the San Isidro Country Club, where the president of the CEChP Peru chapter, Guillermo Ferreyros, gave an overview of everything discussed with the future president.

The first thing our compatriot highlighted was that “Peru and ChiliTogether, they export more than 50% of the world’s copper”, highlighting the importance of both countries in the international economy.

“With the prices of minerals, we should start ‘making cash’ for Peru. If a mining project delays, that investment could go to other countries,” reflected the businessman.

The president of the Chilean-Peruvian Business Council, Guillermo Ferreyros, emphasized that “we have complementarity with Chile, not competition, in non-mineral products.”

Among the fruits highlighted by the businessman were grapes, blueberries and avocados: “we can complement each other to be able to reach more markets, complying with all health regulations.”

The CEO of OIG Peru also announced that it was agreed with the elected José Antonio Kast to have a second meeting, in Arica or Santiago, when he is proclaimed president of Chile.

Finally, it is worth noting that the future Chilean president left the Country Club without giving statements to the press. Today, before noon, he will meet with the Peruvian president, José Jerí.
