PERUCAMARAS will take business mission to Ecuador to promote bilateral trade

Between September 10 and 12, a delegation of Peruvian authorities and businessmen will visit the city of Quito as part of the Roadshow Peru -Ecuador organized by Perucamaras. This institutional mission will bring together representatives of the agro -industrial sectors, tourism and mining with the aim of generating export opportunities and establishing lasting links with their peers in the neighboring country.

The Agenda includes a Country Report Talk on trade and investment opportunities in Ecuador, sectoral presentations on Peruvian potential in agribusiness, mining, tourism and commerce, as well as the signing of institutional collaboration agreements (MOUS). In addition, technical visits will be made to Ecuadorian guilds according to sector and a closing cocktail with local authorities and entrepreneurs at the Peru residence in Quito.

Beyond the commercial objectives, Perucámaras emphasizes that this mission is also a platform to project the voice of the Peruvian regions on the Andean scenario, reaffirming the commitment to productive integration, territorial cohesion and institutional maturity against regional challenges. “This is a concrete opportunity to demonstrate that Peruvian business is united, ready to lead and build with our Ecuadorian peers a future of respect, integration and shared development,” said Oscar Zapata, president of the guild.

Peru -Ecuador: an expanding market

In 2024, the commercial exchange between the two countries reached US $ 2,593 million, which represents a growth of 13% compared to the previous year. Ecuador was consolidated as the third regional destination of Peruvian exports, with 87% of non -traditional products, highlighting preparations for animal feed, medications, flour, sweet cookies, plastic capsules and electrogen equipment.

This year, Peruvian exports to Ecuador grew 18%to February, mainly driven by the chemical (+50%) and agricultural (+0.4%) sectors, with a total of US $ 47 million. Important growths in exports of ceramic products (+191%), traditional fishing (+165%) and non -traditional steel (+143%) were also observed.

Peru also remains the third fruit supplier to the Ecuadorian market and the second throughout Latin America, confirming the country’s strength and competitiveness in fresh foods.

“The perucamian mission is to build bridges between entrepreneurs in the region and connect concrete business and investment opportunities. This Roadshow reflects our commitment to economic integration and sustainable commercial development between neighboring countries,” concluded Silvia Lama, commercial manager and development of perucamas business.
