Peru needs to learn from the past so as not to repeat the economic mistakes he made. This conclusion was one to which the director of the Peruvian Institute of Economics (IPE), Diego Macera, and the director of the Postgraduate School of the University of Lima, Pedro Grados, after reading the book “200 years of economy in Peru – Learning from uss ”of Peru21 in collaboration with the Romero Foundation.

“What are we doing today with the economy? We are going to read the book in 300 years and we will see that we did nothing with copper as we did not do with the guano. It is about knowing and not repeating mistakes,” said the IPE representative.
Meanwhile, Pedro Grados highlighted the importance of exports in the improvement of the quality of life, so he reflected on the need to continue consolidating Peruvian products in the world.
