In the evening hours of this Thursday, February 3, Peru Libre issued a statement addressing President Pedro Castillo for the new designation of the ministerial cabinet, chaired by Héctor Valer. According to the statement, the ruling party does not agree with the group selected to represent the ministerial portfolios and demands that a change of professionals be made, because the current designation of the PCM has generated mistrust and political instability.
“The caucus of Peru Libre urges the constitutional president of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, to elect a team of professionals who give prestige to their mandate and allow governability from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the different ministerial portfolios, considering the high honor that service to the nation means,” the statement read.
Likewise, from Peru Libre they emphasized that they do not agree with Héctor Valer as president of the Council of Ministers, since he has an accusation of family violence, in addition to having been responsible for generating a political crisis in the country.

“The new ministerial cabinet chaired by Mr. Héctor Valer Pinto has generated a political crisis due to the opposition of various political groups and the alleged family violence spread in the media.
In addition, the statement stated that there is no intention to vacate President Castillo, since the only thing they are looking for is for there to be a designated group that can generate political stability that reduces differences and that is in charge of working for the well-being of Peru.
“The Peru Libre caucus rejects any attempt to vacate the President of the Republic as systematically proposed by the authoritarian groups of the extreme right, inside and outside of Congress,” the statement concluded.
