Peru authorizes the extradition to Argentina of “Little J”, accused of triple feminicide

The Peruvian Government authorized the extradition to Argentina of Tony Janzen Valverde Victorianoalias “Pequeño J” or “Montana”, the main accused of the triple feminicide of three young people in the city of Florencio Varela, in the suburbs of Buenos Aires.

The decision was made official through the Supreme Resolution No. 041-2026-JUSpublished in the Official Gazette The Peruvianand bears the signature of the President of the Republic, José Jerífrom the Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Walter Martinezand the chancellor Hugo de Zela.

Aggravated homicide charges

The Argentine justice system accuses Valverde Victoriano of premeditated aggravated homicidewith cruelty, treachery and gender violence. The young man, 20 years old, is identified as the main person responsible for the murder of Lara Gutiérrez (15), Brenda del Castillo (20) and Morena Verdi (20).

The accused was arrested in Lima on September 30, 2025in the district of Pucusanaafter having fled from Florencio Varela to evade Argentine justice.

Extradition and delivery process

The defense of “Pequeño J” rejected the voluntary extradition last October, which motivated the Argentine authorities to formally request the Peruvian State to hand over the accused. With the approval of the extradition, the next step will be the logistical coordination for his transfer to Argentine soil.

The administrative text establishes that, before delivery, the central authority must verify that Valverde Victoriano does not have pending criminal proceedings, convictions or indictments in Peru. If any of these situations exist, the extradition must be postponed.

Preventive prison in Peru

He Judiciary dictated the October 3, 2025 a measure of nine months of preventive detention against Valverde Victoriano, after which he was confined in the Penitentiary of Cañetein the custody of National Penitentiary Institute (INPE).

Images released by INPE showed his entry into the prison, where he was officially registered as an inmate while his judicial situation was resolved.
