Persons deprived of liberty “under any modality”, as well as officials of “all levels of government” of the Nation, the provinces and the municipalities may not receive the income booster of $18,000 that was made available on April 28.
Thus it was established in joint resolution 1/2022 of the Secretaries of Economic Policy of the Ministry of Economy and Social Security of the Labor portfolio, published this Wednesday in the Official Gazette, issued to “precise certain aspects for the purpose of achieving a correct application of the provisions” of Decree 216/ 2022.
The measure maintains the requirement not to work in the formal labor circuit or receive income that exceeds the equivalent of two minimum wages, but it raises it to three assets when considering the entire family group “with the exception of the holders of the Unemployment Benefit”.
In this way, the universe of recipients of income reinforcement was limited to the following cases specified in the annex to the resolution:
. Workers who receive income from the development of informal and unregistered work activities, and their income does not exceed the equivalent value of 2 Minimum, Vital and Mobile Salaries.
. People who are unemployed.
. Workers with employment relationship contracts registered during the job reservation period, with the exception of workers in the national, provincial, municipal public sector and in the city of Buenos Aires.
. The monotributistas registered and registered in the categories “A” and “B” and social monotributistas.
. The male and female workers of private homes.
Taking into account that the decree “excludes male and female workers with formal incomes, It is necessary to clarify that officials at all levels of government are included in said exclusion,” it was specified in the recitals of the norm.
Decree 216/2022 instituted, with a national scope, a revenue booster as an exceptional non-contributory monetary benefit intended to compensate for the loss of purchasing power of income of people without formal income or in a situation of socioeconomic vulnerability.
“Through this income policy measure, the Government seeks to reinforce the economic and social protection of the most vulnerable sectors, particularly affected by the situation of acceleration of the general level of prices,” it was recalled in the recitals of the resolution.
