Various actions are carried out in the educational centers of the province of Colón, by the Coordination of Children and Adolescents of the Health Region of Colón, in the prevention of tobacco habit among children and young people.
Margarita de Villarreal, coordinator of childhood and adolescence of the Colón Health Region, stated that in these guidelines, students are informed about the dangers that tobacco use produces on people’s health.
The galena indicated that tobacco consumption is the main preventable epidemic facing the health community.
He added that an incursion has begun in schools, aimed at third and fourth grade students in which the video of the “Smoking Duck” was shown, with which the student learns about the harm caused by tobacco consumption.
