The only item on the agenda of the Standing Committee includes the project of resolution that summons the Chamber of Deputies to an extra session, to discuss the legislative proposal that modifies the General Budget of the Nation in relation to the Ministry of Public Health and the Incan.
The project was presented by legislator Basilio Núñez, who asked the president of the Commission, Ángel Paniagua, to convene the plenary session of the Lower House, which is currently in recess.
However, the Ministry of Health has just announced that, after a dialogue between the minister Julio Borba and the head of the Treasury, Óscar Llamosas, it was agreed to reallocate the budget in the object of expenses 350 (medicines), through an internal reprogramming, to the Incan budget line.
This rescheduling will be carried out by decree, therefore, since a law will not be needed, no study will be necessary in plenary.
With this, it is highly probable that today’s session and the call of the Chamber of Deputies will finally be without effect.
