Santo Domingo.- The Permanent Commission of the Chamber of Accounts in the Chamber of Deputies called a meeting for Monday at 2:00 in the afternoon.
This was reported this morning by the president of the commission, deputy Rogelio Alfonso Genao Lanzawho announced that the reason for the meeting is to deal with “the public rumors” that are aired on social networks around the plenary session of the Chamber of Accounts (CC).
«We formally as the Chamber of Deputies have not received or as a Commission we have not received a formal communication or a formal complaint, but there is a rumor published on the networks, and for such purposes we have convened the Permanent Commission of CC in the CD to air that situation and see what decision the commission makes in that regard,” he said.
The reformist legislator announced that he will propose to the members of the entourage in charge to invite said commission to the plenary session of the CC.
Context
The spokesman for Fuerza del Pueblo (FP) in the Senate, Dionis Sánchez, denounced last Wednesday in the hemicycle of the Upper House of alleged irregularities and harassment by members of the plenary session of the entity that regulates State resources.
Sánchez summoned Eduardo Estrella, president of the Senate, to say what is happening in the Chamber of Accounts, indicating that three members of said institution denounced serious crimes such as sexual harassment.
Pedernales’ representative in the Senate indicated that these members had met with the presidents of Congress denouncing the situation.
The plenary session of the Chamber of Accounts is made up of its president, Janel Ramírez; the vice president, María Catano Ramírez; the secretary, Tomasina Tolentino de Mckenzie; Mario Arturo Fernández Burgos and Elsa Peña Peña.
