The Permanent Commission approved, in the first vote, the modification of the Law of Political Organizations that reopens the doors of private financing of legal entities to parties up to a maximum amount per year of 500 Tax Tax Units (UIT) that are equivalent, to date, at 2,575,000 soles.

The approved legal opinion also authorizes private contributions “including the use of real estate, free of charge” as long as they do not exceed the equivalent of 500 UIT in one year “regardless of the number of organizations to which they contribute.”
In the document, it is specified that the contribution “per contributor” for each group must not exceed 200 UIT, and adds that the fees and contributions will be made “up to 40% of the limit established through an account of the Banco de la Nación ”.
The Banco de la Nación will send the ONPE the list of contributions received for each group.
The ONPE will supervise and supervise that the Banco de la Nación complies with making the transfers, preserving the confidentiality of the identity of the contributors.
