Peripheral markets of Las Garzas and Tocumen, in the 2023 budget

Two projects that will benefit hundreds of residents of the eastern area of ​​the Panama district are already included in the 2023 budget.

According to the mayor José Luis Fábrega, these are the peripheral markets of Las Garzas and Tocumen, which already have land contemplated for their construction.

«I can tell you that in the budget for the year 2023 we include the purchase of the land for the Tocumen Peripheral Market, we are waiting for ANATI to segregate a land belonging to the Las Garzas Communal Board in which we are going to do the Peripheral Market of Las Garzas, the same for Las Mañanitas”, he specified.

He stressed that the order to proceed has already been given and plans are being prepared for the Mercado Periférico de Chilibre and Alcalde Díaz, both in the northern area.

Fábrega also said that in Las Garzas an order was given to proceed, for the construction of a shelter for the elderly, which consists of several pavilions with capacity for 150 gentlemen, another pavilion for 100 ladies and a third pavilion to receive people affected in disaster case.
