In an act of outrage over the growing wave of thefts, a group of citizens burned a minor vehicle, a Torito Bajaj motorcycle, that was loaded with bananas in the Los Carrizales sector in the jurisdiction of the Pérene district. It is not ruled out that the products have been stolen, although this information is still under investigation.
The incident occurred when citizens, tired of the crime that affects the area, decided to take justice into their own hands.
According to witnesses, the motorcycle, which was transporting the cargo, was set on fire in the middle of a public road as part of a protest against the constant robberies in the town. They presume that the load of bananas had been stolen and the owners reached the unit. No one was found injured, nor was any crew member of the motorcycle taxi.
So far, the authorities have not confirmed where the bananas were previously stolen from, the police are already investigating the case.
