Pereira: the FA formula for 2024 will be "parity" and will choose your address

“There is a lot of consensus in the organization for the formula to be chosen by the Broad Front. This is a mechanism that I think is the ideal one because they are going to be the candidates of the Broad Front, unlike what happened in several elections.”said the Frente Amplio leader in a press conference consigned by Telemundo (Channel 12).

Pereira indicated that in the opposition party there is a tendency to talk about the 2019 elections, in which the Front formula was made up of Daniel Martinez and Graciela Villarbecause they were “defeated”, but he affirmed that in “many previous elections, the formula was not chosen by the Broad Front,” and he believes that “this mechanism must be changed.”

“If it is going to be the party’s formula, the party has to take a position,” expressed Pereira, who indicated that if the method of election of candidates is changed to the one proposed, the formula it would be voted “within a plenary session” and then it would be approved by the Front’s congress.

Pereira does not doubt that the formula will be equal: “In the Broad Front the logic of parity is so impregnated that today I believe that no one would dispute that the formula was parity, no one”.
