José Enrique ‘Pepe’ Peña was chosen by the leadership of Libertad Gran Mamoré to assume the technical direction of the Benian team. The man from Santa Cruz will replace the Argentine Andrés Marinangeli, who was only 24 days in charge of the first team. He took office on February 17.
“We already have everything arranged financially. I’m just waiting for them to send me the tickets”, he told DIEZ ‘Pepe’ Peña. The coaching staff of DT Santa Cruz is made up of the Colombian Néstor Vázquez (technical assistant), Teodoro Cárdenas (physical trainer) and Aloy Castillo (goal coach).
Peña will be the third coach to take the reins of the Benian team. Christian Reynaldo started the season, but was dismissed after three games (he won one and lost two).
After Reynaldo, the recently dismissed took over, marinangeli. The Argentine led four games (two draws and two losses) in the 24 days that he was in charge. Mamoré, with 5 points, ranks 13th out of 17 teams. His next match will be against Bolívar on March 31 in La Paz.
